Procrastination? Maybe it will go away

By Carmel-Ann on January 9, 2012

When I was in school, there was an instructor who told us the most dangerous combination of words in the English language was, “maybe it will go away”.  That is the rationale that many of us use when we don’t want to face  the thought of something unpleasant. Even though there are some things that get better on their own and often it is appropriate to wait and watch, many things can cause suffering when they are neglected. The great concern is knowing what, when and for how long waiting and watching is  a beneficial process.

One way to combat procrastination effectively and prevent being overwhelmed is to learn how to prioritize tasks. Professional organizers are experts in teaching people how to prioritize. But you don’t have to be a professional to learn what is important and to put your life tasks into perspective. There are many books, recordings, seminars and methods out there to help you in the actual process of becoming organized. But Loren and I hope to help you understand a bit more about the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual processes present when we procrastinate, as well as to offer tools to get you past the procrastination pitfalls.

Please do join us for “Overwhelmed? Making and Keeping Priorities”…a free teleseminar Wednesday, January 11 at 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm (EST). You must register to listen “live’ or to listen later online. Click on Seminars to register now…don’t procrastinate!
